Podcasting is the latest craze sweeping the internet and exciting the tech savvy masses. I stumbled acorss Podcasting Tools a very cool podcast portal.

The site details "How to Podcast", a section on podcasting software that includes recording, editing and software to create podcasts.

I have to say though my favorite part of the site is a section for podcasters to submit podcasts .

Many of us work in a specific industry or sector. Cutting the clutter and finding a site that addresses specific concerns of a specific industry is a great way to target a specific market. After a little digging I was really impressed by the number of sites that addresses the concerns of their audience by creating a message for their target audience.

One of my very favorite software site's is messaging software. I don't know what it is that I like about the site so much, but its really nicely designed. The site sections software by type. Categorizing mail server software, email clients, popup killers, spam killers and voicemail software into different cateogries.

A separate group includes: wireless, paging, telephony and instant messaging software solutions.

The site also includes a number of messaging resources including: messaging articles, messaging newsgroups and related sites.

Having just updated my operating system and losing all of my Internet passwords that were stored in my cookies, I decided I need a better way to store my passwords!

I began my search and came across a really cute site Password Software that had all different types of password storage applications, and password recovery tools. And after spending a little money I was on my way again!

They even have a section with password tips.

This site is surprisingly overlooked - the email software site contains is a great software directory.
Find the top email solutions to streamline your communications. There is a section on email clients, email marketing software, email encryption and a slew of related categories.

The site has a zero pagerank which really makes no sense because they also have a number of email related articles, a directory of free email accounts, free email cards, and last but not least they have a terrific section on email etiquette helping beginners know what to say, and how to say it and reminding novices just where the line is.

Really nice site with rich content. It is topic specific and easy to navigate.

The site is extremely easy to navigate and is not 'over-stocked' with useless titles, the color is a little odd though.

The Communication Software site has been around for awhile, atleast according to the wayback machine. Though I've not seen it, before. I love the layout, though the font is a bit too tiny. The site contains sections on: Email Software, Wireless Software, Broadcasting Software, Telephony Software, Voicemail Software, MP3 Software and communication related articles. There is also a section that discusses how to improve communication and tips for talking on the phone.

Really nice site if you are looking for communication related software solutions.

RSS Specifications - Great RSS Resource

Ok, I know RSS has not yet been embraced by everyone but I really believe that given enough time it will be. My prediction is that RSS readers will be as common place as email clients in another few years. RSS is based on a pull technology, allowing users to determine what content they wish to see.

I've recently taken a close look at FeedForAll software that allows users to create rss feeds. The side benefit which they don't talk about much is that it supports podcasting! In simple terms a podcast is an rss item that contains an audio file. The way to create a podcast is to include an MP3 in the enclosure field, the length is simply the size of the MP3 file. Bottom line is not only does FeedForAll making creating rss feeds really easy but it also makes podcasting a snap!

I also really like the design of the FeedForAll site. They have a great support section and some freebies, like an online RSS button creator.

Very impressive site, and really great software that shows huge potential for RSS and podcasting.

Password Software - Password Recovery

Ok, this site isn't a new kid on the block, but its designed well and deserves a mention. The Password Software site contains software related to password storage, password encryption, password recovery and related password software solutions.

The site contains some great articles related to password protection and creation. As well as the following tip collection:

1.) change your password frequently
2.) never share your password with anyone
3.) try to choose something so that you don't have to write it down but not so obvious others would easily guess the password

A new software search engine has emerged Software Matrix. Software Matrix is a searchable directory, that while not aesthetically pleasing makes finding software very easy. Simply enter the search term and a matrix of software options will be displayed. The matrix contains screenshots or website views. Similar software titles are offered so quick comparisons can be made.

There is a keyword index and a program index making finding programs very easy regardless of your thought process.

This site is one to watch, as its popularity improves, its likely its look will too.
